Did you know an indicator to a child's success in Kindergarten and beyond is their ability to self help? It seems simple enough, but it takes a long time to master! Often we hold our own kiddos back from becoming self sufficient by swooping in and doing tasks for them, instead of letting them figure it out... Here is a great article by Today's Parent that outlines self help / Self Sufficient skills for kids of different ages. In preschool simple things like being able to button their own pants, and put their jacket on are helpful skills.... Below, you will find a great YouTube video that teaches kiddos to put on their own jackets! It sounds simple, but these skills all have to be learned!

I like your child tips. My kid is turning 5 soon. I need to find a good kindergarten program for him.
