As a parent, you know the nightly bedtime challenge: to get your kids to go to sleep and stay asleep. It’s not always easy or fun, but healthy sleep schedules and patterns are one of the best things you can do for your child’s mental, physical, and emotional health.
When children aren’t getting enough sleep, they have a harder time controlling their emotions. Their behavior may be irritable or hyper, which is not fun for anyone. Regular schedules throughout the day, and bedtime rituals play a role in helping kids get solid, good sleep and function at their best. When you create healthy sleep habits, it helps your child fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up rested and refreshed. There are one- fits-all rules for bedtime rituals and every child is different.
